What is health science ?

Pharmacy, medicine, nursing, psychology, dentistry and physiotherapy are some of many courses that come under health science. Health science is basically its practitioners applying science to topics that are much related to health. The faculties are differently named according to the institution. 

Steps to get into health science studies in Malaysia 

There are a few steps that one needs to follow in order to enroll in a health science related course.

  • If you are starting from scratch you would need to do a foundation, diploma or Stpm under science stream. 
  • After that you would need to apply for the course of your choice in its corresponding website
  • You would need to undergo series on interview including spoken, written and sometimes hand-on interview (subject based on the course and the institution)
  • You need also need to do an entrance examination (based on the course)
  • If you have passed this staged then you have placed your spot to continue your studies under the field of health science

Health science courses generally can prepare a student for many types of careers. like medicine and dentistry are very much in demand be it for clinical or non clinical use.
